Valerian Designs was created to help you relax, just like the herb, Valerian. Sit back and enjoy the therapeutic hand-knitting experience through simple, easy-to-follow instructions and sensual yarns.
These unique, classically inspired patterns can be purchased individually or as part of a kit, using natural yarns such as cashmere, silk and alpaca from UK sourced suppliers.
Colours are cottage garden inspired with herbs as well as flowers playing their part. All silks are hand-dyed to reflect a mix of delicate shades and vibrant colours to suit your mood.
Yarns can be purchased as part of a kit or separately. Kit re-fills available if ordered within one month of kit purchase. Silks are dyed in small quantities so exact match of colour cannot be guaranteed.
Even if you have never knitted before or have a trail of unfinished projects behind you don't be discouraged.
Valerian Designs hand-knitting patterns are created for beginners through to moderately experienced knitters as well as kits for children. My yarns will make your fingers tingle to touch them and create your most beautiful project yet.
And if you should need a little extra support I'll be only too happy to help you with any information or advice I can give.
Knitting has been my passion ever since I could hold a pair of knitting needles. For over 20 years I have been designing my own patterns. I am also a member of the knitting and Crochet Guild and East Sussex Guild of Craft Workers.
So please wander through my patterns and kits and take that first step to your own relaxing hand-knitting experience.
